Jayne Ann KrentzTruth or Dare Tour 2004Dateline: Costco, Bellingham, WA
Who says people from Seattle can't do snow? Got into a real hurky SUV and trekked along an icy Interstate all the way to Bellingham, Washington on Saturday to do a signing at a glorious Costco. (Okay, so I didn't actually do the driving. Trust me, this was one of those situations where you want a professional on a closed course. We're talking serious winter stuff). But it was well worth it. I had a wonderful time hanging out with readers there in the aisle between cooking equipment and videos and I got a chance to try out the VERY cute boots I bought for the tour. They worked great. Man, I love those Costco stores! Everything is bigger than life, including that pallet load of TRUTH OR DARE. The people who work there are terrific, too. Which reminds me, a very special thanks to Matt, who helped sticker all those books that I signed and who explained to me what happens to all those hundreds of cardboard boxes they go through every day at Costco. (Recycled as packing boxes for the customers, in case you're interested). If you're a Costco member and you live around Bellingham and you didn't make it in on Saturday, you will probably find some autographed books left if you hurry into the store this week. Also left some signed copies behind at Waldenbooks in Bellis Fair Mall and at the Barnes & Noble there in Bellingham. If you drop into either of those stores, please give everyone my best. Love,
