Jessica Travers is in hotel management for Scanlon, and is used to being the one giving orders. Lucas Kincaid, a quiet man with iron gray eyes, is a pet store owner. When these two come together, it is an explosive situation. They are thrown together when the plane they are on with six others crashes in the desert. Jessica immediately begins to do what she does best--take over. Everyone goes along with her orders until Lucas challenges her authority in front of the others. As much as she hates to relinquish control, she steps down and lets Lucas take over.

Lucas, the primitive male in action, tells Jessica that she is his. Jessica helpless to the strong pull she feels for Lucas gives in to him and the two make love. It is very powerful and frightens Jessica. When they are rescued, Jessica leaves Lucas without a backward glance and what they shared in the desert. But Lucas is not one to give up so easily. He pursues her relentlessly reminding her that she is his and he has come for what is his.

Once she realizes her love for him she is caught in his silver snare. But Lucas is also equally caught. This is a very sensuous tale of the male claiming his female. I love the older stories that Ms. James writes. The strong male looking for his equal in a female. A great story that I would recommend anyone to read.
