Amanda Quick! Please don't stop writing her wonderful Regencies. I am now listening to the them on Audio, although I have already read the books. I loved that you included the treatment for female hysteria in "Don't Look Back." I often wondered why I have never seen anything about it in other historicals, since it was a real treatment for the time period. THANKS for making your historicals so witty and so real! I am waiting (oh so patiently?)for your next Amanda Quick book!

i tried to read all your books and i was hooked on your writing, but recent stories are boringly long,killjoy's story was nice but it went on and on and on .their was also very little romance . i am 30 still very interested to read a lot of love scenes with a very nice story line.

I love your books, I really can't decide which ones I love the best. I love the ones set in the past (Amanda Quick), those in an alternative future (Jayne Castle) and I guess I love the ones full of fun, suspense and romance, (Jayne Ann Krentz) a little more than the others. It would be my pleasure to meet you in person some day. However, the closest you have appeared to come to my city is Cincinnati,OH. I live in NY, in a suburb of Buffalo,NY. I adored the give and take between the two - it was fun! Charity and Elias were so greaat together. Wish you had included some of the recipes for their vegetarian dishes. I have enjoyed your books for years. When my sister recently moved, my first "care package" was a set of your books. While I love the complete novels, I am thrilled that Zoe and Ethan will return. I thought this was a terrific set of characters and I love the tension created by the "fake" marriage. The plot was great fun, too!

I've really enjoyed your tales over the years, but I have to say that I've been slightly disappointed with your recent crop of "open ended" stories. Why not write a book that can stand on its own? For example, the recent "Light in Shadow," left me feeling, well, wanting. Not the good kind of wanting either, but the kind like I'd been promised a warm chocolate chip cookie and been given a stale rice cake instead. I miss the happy endings of the earlier books that were completly wrapped up by the time I turned the last page. Sequels are nice, but not every book you write should be just a warm up for the next one. Thank you for listening to my rant. I really do like your writing despite this recent trend. May your muses be kind.

I first read Soft Focus and for the first time in a long while I truely loved the male character. It seemed like this character had all the things a girl could fall for, mystery as well as a weakness that makes him even more irresistable. Then I read a book by Amanda quick and Jayne Ann Krentz and Amanda Quick became my two favorite author. I was shocked, to say the least, when I found out both were one! I was absolutely bowled over when I found out. So far I have read almost all books under both names. I'll soon start on the Castle and other name ones. :)

I fell in love with your historical romance novels from the very beginning of Rendezvous. I may have only looked at it at first because I saw the name Amanda but I got hooked on historical romance novels and there is just something about your writing that just makes me feel like I am standing just a few feet away from the characters. Great and highly informative web site. I've read and thoroughly enjoyed all of the Amanda Quick novels and am working my way towards some of the other titles. I don't know why more men don't read romances, but when I come across another guy who seems to have an interest, Amanda Quick is one of the first authors I always recommend. I have read quite a few of your novels -- I just wanted to say how very much I admire your work - however, I have noticed, especially in "Sharp Edges" that there are quite a few errors in spelling, grammar, and mis-placed words - I know that isn't your fault, but you might want to talk with your editor about it -- I am not being critical, it's just that grammatical errors and spelling errors seem to jump out at me and there were quite a few of those in this novel --am looking forward to your next book

You're Amanda Quick books, believe it or not have changed my life. I was on a trip to the Florida Keys a few years ago with my husband. Both of us were sick at the time and the only thing we could do was lie on the beach. I went to the local K-Mart type store and picked up one of your books. The next day I picked up another one. And the next day... I have all the Amanda Quick's now and have reread them 3 or 4 times. I have in the past published mystery stories and used to be a member of MWA. I took a writing course with Jo Ann Ferguson and subsequently joined her group for several years until she moved. Now I'm writing my own Regency Romance. Jayne - Just wanted to take a moment to say "Thanks!" for all the housework, boring conversations on the treadmill and 3 hour rides to our cabin up north that your Amanda Quick books allow me to avoid. My copies are all in terrible shape from reading, re-reading and re-re-reading them. It is so bad, that my husband has even noticed! He comments from time to time "Haven't you read that book a few times already?" completely puzzled on how I can laugh and enjoy the same storyline again and again. Well, all I can say is I love them all and they remain fresh and entertaining each time I open one. I find the stories with a Zamarian and Vanzargian bent to be particularly good reads, though I did enjoy "Desire" quite allot. Stories of kights and maidens are wonderful especially when the maiden is no shrinking violet. I am currently neck deep in "Late for the Wedding", which reminds me... I love your Amanda Quick books; I have read all of them. I love the quick banter between Lavinia and Tobias and the time frame of the stories. I am a big fan of Jane Austin; I have read Pride and Prejudice at least 50 times and you have somewhat the same style in that you make me laugh. I just got back from a trip to England where I visited Winchester Cathedral where Jane Austin is buried. Hope some of your books are made into films like her books have been. I have read and loved every book you have written. I enjoy meeting characters who were introduced in another novel as the main characters in a new book. I love the lively dialogue and the "asides" which are noted as thoughts and unspoken comments. Even after I have read a book, I pick it up as an audio tape and listen to it in my car whenever I am driving. I don't know who you would give a hurry up to - your publisher or distributer, but in Australia, the main paperback outlets are Target, KMart, and Woolworths/Big W, and they keep your books, particularly Amanda Quick ones, but they are three books behind in them. So frustrating. I request them from the library and so I get them fairly soon off the printing press in hard cover, and then buy my own copies when they come out in pb. But distribution is very slow at these places - whether it is their buyers or your distributor in Australia, I know not! But somebody needs smartening up. I try to get every book. I even got the latest (a signed copy no less) for my birthday. I read your books over and over again as many do because they are somehow different each time I read them. I notice different things each time. However much I enjoy all the books, I must say that my absolute favorite was the Eclipse Bay series. All three of them were absolutely fabulous. I have all your books excepts for some of the very first ones. Will they ever be republished? My favorites are the futuristic romances. In one of your novels the author was a writer. The story she was working on was about a untelepathic man and woman who lived on a telepathic world. It would be great to see a story with that plot.

Hi Jayne! Love your books no matter what name you choose to write under. Loved Smoke In Mirrors, but then I haven't read a book of yours yet that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Your versatility and talent are amazing! I always look forward to an all-night read when I pick up your latest - there's just something delicious about an all-nighter with a good book - and of course, lots of chocolate. Even my two cats seem to enjoy the celebration though they haven't a clue what the three of us are celebrating. Can't wait to "celebrate" Light in Shadow! Please just keep'em coming!

Ms. Krentz , I started reading your novels when they were published as Stephanie James by Silhoutte. I admire your thinking and ability to put such a readable format together in whatever genre you choose at the time your inspired to write. Igot to visit your area of the country a while back and it has been great fun to think of the location in my head as I read your stories.I will watch for any book signings that you doback east and if they aren't too far away I'll try to attend. I'm collecting books to read if there's a terrorist attack & I'm confined to a single room. So far ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY has made it, & a futuristic--hunting another of the futuristics. Mind, I've already read each several times. Probably a Dick Francis re-read, too, & MAYBE a new one. But no multiples of anyone else. No food, water, etc, yet. Just your books. 20-odd of my own have been published but I'm not sure I'll take any of them. Debating.

I found you first as Amanda Quick. I wait eagerly for everyone of your new books. I must admit I'm waiting for reality to strike and Lavinia and Tobias end with a little "souvenier" just like the rest of us would! I've really enjoyed this current set. I think Surrender remains the one I've read the most. Thanks for strong characters, good sense of humor, hours of fun!

I make sure I have my own copy of your books and re-read them over and over. Some years ago, I started my own collection, and keep adding to it whenever I find a book I do not own. Have recently discovered your books through our library and just love your heroines! They are so spunky and have a lovely humourous side to them! Really difficult to find your books though as they are not generally stocked in our bookshops. I manage to get the odd one now and then from the secondhand bookshops where I'm told they are so popular that you have to be there on the day someone brings one in to get hold of it! Looking forward to finding some more!

I just finished "Light in Shadow" and could not put it down. The ending was a surprise and I am ususally pretty good at knowing who did it. I am a librarian at our city library and I will recommend this book to all my patrons.
