Welcome to my series featuring the mysterious Arcane Society, a secret organization devoted to paranormal research. The stories in the Arcane Society novels will cross over between my Amanda Quick historicals and my Jayne Ann Krentz contemporaries. Not every book under each name will be an Arcane story. You will be able to distinguish the series by a note on the cover stating that the book is “An Arcane Society Novel”.

The books written under my Amanda Quick name will be set in the Late Victorian era. Those under my Jayne Ann Krentz name are all contemporaries set in modern-day America.

I created the world of the Arcane Society because it will allow me to write some of my favorite kinds of plots and characters in both my historicals and my contemporaries and link them together with a unifying series logo. If you have read me under one or all three of my pen names -- Jayne Ann Krentz for contemporaries, Amanda Quick for historicals and Jayne Castle for futuristics – you have probably already figured out that I love to write romantic-suspense with psychic and paranormal elements. The Arcane Society books will feature my customary mix of passion and mystery but all will have a strong psychic/paranormal twist.

Each Arcane Society novel can be read as a stand-alone but each one will provide new information about the Society that will be of interest to those who follow the entire series.
